Description: Aboriginal Law 101 will offer an introduction to the basics of Aboriginal rights, Aboriginal title, and treaty rights.  What are these rights and how are they proven?  It will introduce the elements of the duty of consultation and accommodation, identify when the duty is triggered and who owes the duty.  This program will provide a basic foundation in Aboriginal law for lawyers who want to gain a better understanding of the area and will set the stage for the more in-depth topics to follow in the series.
