Procrastination and Professional Liability Insurance Claims
February 13, 2019

Procrastination. While we often think of it in relation to our personal goals (remember that shelving project in the garage that keeps getting put off?), the pitfalls of procrastination have an impact in our professional lives as well. In fact, as a lawyer, procrastination can have serious consequences and may necessitate a call to the Law Society’s Professional Liability Insurance Department if it results in a potential claim.

In this one-hour webinar, the Law Society of Manitoba’s Director of Insurance and Professional Liability Insurance Fund Counsel review why lawyers procrastinate, real life claims caused by procrastination, and the ethical and practical reasons lawyers should not procrastinate when they become aware of circumstances that may give rise to a claim. Additionally they share some tips on how to beat this dreaded but oh so common condition.

They will also tell you how those shelves turned out ...

Presenters from The Law Society of Manitoba:
Tana Christianson, Director of Insurance
James Cox, Professional Liability Insurance Fund Counsel
