Renowned Queen’s University family law professor reviews key areas of reform in the March 2021 amendments to the Divorce Act. Topics include new duties for parents and lawyers, shared parenting, family violence, relocation, and children resisting contact. Relevant case law is referred to throughout the presentation. The family stress and parental anxiety caused by the COVID-19 pandemic is also considered.
